Welcome to the new mumupi.org!

I've put some work into this place, and I hope you enjoy the results.

Click around, make yourself at home, stay a while.

Other than the pretty red borders, there are three new things here at mumupi.org that should interest you.

New Picture Galleries, mumupi.org Email Addresses, and The New Hot Tub.

You will need to register in order to access the picture galleries. For now. Suan had a few pictures hidden behind the other URL, and I wanted to change the way we handle public and Pi-only pictures. This means that I have to make public galleries in addition to the existing private galleries. For the time being, they're all locked down.

Registering for the picture galleries will automatically register you for the new Hot Tub with the same username and password.

The mumupi.org email addresses are just going to be forwarders. You give me the address that you want bandname@mumupi.org to point to, and I'll set it up so that email sent to bandname@mumupi.org automatically goes to, say, velvetjones@wisc.edu.

Most importantly, have fun with this place. It's what it's here for.

Countdown to Nashville

Nashville

Nashville and the Coliseum from 24,000 feet.

After celebrating a merry Coca-Cola Christmas presented by Hallmark (and for some, a happy Greenbush Bakeries Hannukah presented by Milk), the Yamaha University of Wisconsin Marching Band presented by Coach USA will prepare for their journey to the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl presented by Bridgestone, where the Adidas Wisconsin Badger Football Team presented by Shoebox will face the Russell Athletic Auburn Tigers presented by Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, with the Jordan's Big Ten Pub Mu Mu Pi Wisconsin Marching Saxophones presented by Jose Cuervo slated to return to the BusHell after a long absense.

It's official: the Wisconsin Badgers have accepted an invitation to the Music City Bowl in Nashville, to face an SEC opponent on new year's eve.

Finishing Strong

Champagne*, hockey, corn-y jokes, ABC afternoon kickoff, On Wis Finalé (following whatever silly medley Mike pulls out of his hat this week), fifth quarter after nightfall, more hockey, band banquet, and miscellaneous activities before, during, in between, and after... An appropriately hectic end to a busy and eventful season, with a bowl trip still in the offing, possibly even to some place warm.

*err... non-alcoholic, of course ;-D

Pi Paraphernalia

"On Probation, On Probation"
Mike hath thus proclaimed.
No more pi-cards, no more pi-flags,
at least, not during the games.
On Probation, On Probation,
Mu Mu Pi, be gone!
Take our possessions, but
La résistance lives on.

Breaking with Tradition

One of the biggest badger victories in history ends... without a fifth quarter? Is it a coincidence that this break in tradition -- a tradition celebrating its 25th anniversary no less -- happened the same week an attempt is made to subvert another "official" tradtion, also celebrating its 25th year? College Gameday

Ah, but what else can be expected when we have a Homecoming week that isn't a homecoming at all (the "homecoming" game is the second of successive home games). Nonetheless, this should be an exciting week, as the remainder of the Badger's schedule finds itself suddenly populated with four nationally-ranked teams, starting with the Boilermakers coming to town on Gameday this Saturday. It will also mark the last of seven consecutive weeks of performances for the band before a three-week break.

Hottest Ticket in Town

Line for OSU Tickets

It's finally here: the long-awaited showdown with the Clarett-free nuts from Columbus. Nationally televised night came... two teams undefeated in the... one defending a national championship... 80,000 charged and fully-loaded fans... It seldom gets better than this.

Return to Lambeau

The New Lambeau Field

After a two-year absense, the band returns to the renovated Lambeau (sans space-ship) as the Packers take on Holmgren's Seahawks. More importantly, the trip signals the return to the OCB.

Alumni Weekend Festivities

(Ssssssss...)

There'll be a MMP reunion picnic this Friday at Westmorland Park -- should be fun!

For Saturday evening, after the game, freshmen should keep their schedule clear, as there will be activities galore to occupy your time.

Let the Season Begin

Welcome to Camp Randall

The "fun" of reg-week is over. It's now time to work. Seven in a row, baby! Hooray for ABBA! ;-D
